Lucky in ohio!

I stopped into a local subaru dealer (Byer's) 5/23 to take a look at a Pearl White BRZ that had came in for a customer .

Talked to the salesman and asked to look at the car and he said that the keys are locked up and only the boss had the access.... so I told him I want to get one of these cars eventually. He took my phone number down and told me he will contact with me when the next order goes out (they only get 6 in a year).

So I went out for the day, and then about a hour later the salesman called me and said the buyer backed out and if I want I can give him my card number and he will hold the car for me until I can get back over there.

Got back there a few hours later and talked to the boss and they took my information and came back 30 minutes later with the keys, the owners packet, and said lets go for a drive!

At this point I am trying to stay calm and not show how unbelievably EXTATIC I am to even drive this car, let alone the possibility to buy the car.

So not to drag it out any longer... I drove the car... fell in love.... and am going in tomorrow to sign the papers to my new BRZ! The car I have been watching being built the last 3 years and have talked non stop about for nearly 8 months now, I am going to own.

Just broke 500 miles and got a invisable bra on front bumper, half hood and front fenders, strip along roof line, door pocket areas, and rear bumper where it meets the trunk.

I am in love with the car. It handles better than anything I have EVER been in.

Few things that I am still getting used to.
-Quick steering rack with electronic assist. It tends to make you wonder a little on the highway and it does lack a little steering imput.
-Brakes. They are great when driving hard and "spirited driving", but everyday they are a little "stiff" if you will, have to press down a little harder. Not bad, just takes a little getting used to.
-Stereo. Sounds great and crisp, love sat. radio, ipod feature works great, but some songs that have a little more bass make the front door speakers sound kinda overpowered and rattle a little much... maybe a little dynamat will fix it.
-Trans. The shifter is great, guick, short, but trying to skip gears (like going 2nd to 5th) it does not like it very much, also they are so close together at times I find the wrong gear. haha. Then again in time I will probably get used to it.

Besides those little/minute issues I ABSOLUTLY llove the car.

Handels unreal and responds to every little imput that I put in. It reacts exactly the way a car should. Even though it doesn't have a lot of power it's enough for what I need.

Pics 2 days before I picked it up.

Yup. I'm having Andy do a quick paint correction the night before.

If you don't mind me asking what was the OTD (out-the-door) price of the car?

The 2 that are on sale in the Washington DC area have an OTD price of just under $32000. ($29850 for the car + Sales tax $1791 + Registration $105 registration fee = $31,746) There was one listed that had a lot of dealer extras that was a lot more with stuff like nitrogen in the tires. (air is close to 80% nitrogen - however the benefit is less condensation in tires)
