Alignments and endlinks question

It looks like my rear right tire needs an alignment. Going to an independent mechanic instead of dealership when I get some new tires, and going to have them perform the alignment. They mentioned that an endlink or bushing may need replacing if they happen to be damaged. I looked under the car and things look good, but curious how often a part like this may need replacing for an alignment over the typical lifetime of the car? Car is at 40k miles, driven plenty of city and highway roads, some gravel and dirt and other mixed conditions as well, and autoX on rough pavement, as well have lightly bumped a few city curbs when driving.

Endlinks do not affect alignment angles.
