identify the doohickey

I'm moving stuff around in the interior (Push start moving to modified trim around stereo (aftermarket), seat heater switches relocate, etc) and I have changed from a Limited console (push start, tiny pocket, USB connection) just above the shifter to the Premium unit with a large pocket and USB connector. When I removed the Limited unit I found a brown rectangular sensor .5"x.5"x3" mounted on the back of the little pocket. I didn't know what it was for and since the mount wasn't in place on the Premium pocket i cut it off and bonded it there.

Anyone know what that is? There is also one on the underside of the rear decklid, so I'm thinking it is some kind of G sensor for the VSC?

I'm sure it would help tremendously if I took a picture but I didn't

Sounds like key fob antennas/proximity sensors.

No issue, I'm just wondering what the little block is. The antenna for the keyless system makes sense. Did you just lay it down in the opening when you switched to the Premium pocket?

My start button is currently where Jive's is; once I get an aftermarket head unit I am going to mount the HU off center and extend the left side of the stereo trim over to the new HU. In that extra space I'm going to mount the start button.
