Burgers, Fries and a Drive FR-S/BRZ Cruise Five Guys Fox Chapel Freeport Road
5 pm today. If you've got nothing better to do bring your 86 out for a spirited cruise in the Fox Chapel area. 18 miles of rolling hills, s bends, switch backs and blind corners. Should be low traffic being it's a Sunday. Minimal stop signs/traffic lights and decent roads perfect for the 86.
WARNING: there are 3 quick blind descending corners on this course 1 of which is a switch back. We will do 2 runs. The first run will be a practice run to get familiar with the course. The second run will be at your own pace. This is NOTa race or time trial. The first rule of 86 club is don't crash your 86. Hope to see you there. Last edited by kazetaro; 09-28-2014 at 02:46 PM. |

A few other 86 owners took part in the Autumn Leaf Autox at North Park yesterday too. Great guys and gals, super fun event. There was a White/Hot Pink turbo BRZ there too, it absolutely flies -- and appeared solidly reliable all day despite being thrashed. Cool stuff!

Loop 1B is here. Did a test run of this last night. Fellas I think you will enjoy. I'll post the milage when I run it again in the daylight. I forgot to reset the trip odometer the first time. You can run these as cosecutive loops or as stand alone courses. Once again there are lots of twists and minimal stops along the way. WARNING: At speed you will need both hands on the wheel. There's about a mile of residential area where the road is quick but exceeding the speed limit is not recommended. Consequently loop 1B reminds me of Mt. Akina. Cup or water and fresh tofu are optional. Those who know will appreciate that statement lol. I can't wait to run it in reverse. More to come. Stay tuned!
