Exclamation 274 hp 2.0T in a ........

SONATA!!!! Full autoblog test. Question i would ask hyundai is why not put this motor in the Genisis Coupe track model...instant sales and win. Imagine if they did and what that would mean for its competitors. That coupe is attractive and with that motor, well...Discuss....

Still a Hyundai...

On a serious note, companies like bigger power gaps between models and it's difficult for salespeople to justify the extra cost of a V6 to a customer when the turbo 4 is almost the same power.

I don't know if the Hyundai dealers have adapted to their changing models, and (expected) changing market demographics. I think that's why the Japanese companies went with separate luxury brands. There is a massive gap between an Accent and a V8 Genesis sedan, as well as their potential customers, for example, but they are both sold at the same dealerships.

What is odd is Hyundai coming out of woodwork with all these new designs and platforms! Since the Hyundai Excel, all of their cars have been horrific until they came up with Genesis which still looks like a poor man's S class. I still give them credit b/c they have a "luxury" sedan that looks better than any American luxury car currently on the market!

Something I thought was funny, the drift genesis from red bull dosnt use either of the engines, they swapped it for something else, but they said they have plans to make one of them work
