Humming noise while driving

Quick backstory: Spun out and hit a curb. Had repairs on the front and back driver side wheel/suspension. After getting my car back this weekend I noticed a humming sound that goes in and out while driving on the freeway. The faster I go, the faster the humming/vibration sound gets, and vice versa.

I researched a bit online and asked the body shop to check the front wheel bearing, which they ended up replacing; however, the sound is still there. They looked over the car again and said everything mechanically is OK so I shouldn't worry about it, but it's a huge pain in the ass to hear that sound everyday as I'm driving.

**Note - the sound starts becoming audible to me around 40+ mph. I'm not sure if its still there when driving at slower speeds than that.

I also thought it could be the tire, because the sound corresponds to the speed of the car, but after rotating the tires it still makes the same sounds from the front left only.

If anyone has any ideas, or any suggestions I'd really appreciate it. I tried recording the sound with my phone tonight, but was unsuccessful. I will try and get a video or something together tomorrow.

Thought for sure a broke belt in the tire until you said you rotated them.
You had the body shop check it?
Since bearing changed and can be ruled out then it could be a warped/damaged rotor, dragging pad or any number of other things.
Maybe take it to another shop or the dealer for a second opinion.

It's not normal and shouldn't be ignored. Did you go through insurance? If so tell them and have them figure it out. If not I dunno I guess you are going to have to figure it out yourself. Did you replace the rear wheel bearing? Are the wheels bent?

Thanks I'll definitely have them check that out when I take the car back in.

Yeah I went through insurance. Expecting a call from my claims rep this week so I'll discuss my options with her, but I wanted to get an idea of what was off with the car first. The rear wheel bearings and rims were replaced, but they used the same tires.

Since you used insurance I would complain until everything is fixed.

On my other car I had an accident and they replaced a lot of parts. I had a vibration through the steering wheel. Turned out they replaced the engine mounts with solid ones and OEM were oil filled. It took a bit of time and inconvenience but I got an OEM honda engine mount and car was perfect after that.

Good luck.

I'm facing a similar situation where the humming is only audible over 40mph. Did the body shop ever find the culprit? :o

I had it taken to Toyota to get inspected and they replaced the LCA (said it was slightly bent). Most of the noise has gone away, but I still get some humming between 70-80mph. At this point I've just learned to live with it haha

Is it the same type of noise? Cuz I know on my completely stock car, I get resonance at 70mph, there's a pretty big thread on it a while back lol.

Long story short, bent the left lower control arm & had to replace it, got an alignment.

It's quite noticeable after 60 MPH, when I'm driving 77 it gets annoying as it tickles my foot from the vibration. I'm taking it back to the shop tomorrow and having them rotate the tires. It might be a loose wheel bearing.. there's a small metal like cricket chirp coming from the front left tire at low mph starting at 20mph, and turns into humming / sonic-like vibration around 60mph. When I'm braking softly in a parking lot, I hear something jam up when I come to a complete stop..although it's barely noticeable.
