catted front pipes and quality of the cat?

I'm going to be putting on the tomei el headers and am thinking a catted frontpipe should quiet it down a little(already have avo catless frontpipe,Perrin over pipe, and injen catback) but I'm seeing anything from avo,and invidia $450-$500 to motiv and p&l for $300 I'm sure the piping and welds are fine on them but what about the quality of the cat itself anyone know? If they truly are high flow and won't restrict the exhaust anymore than the avo or invidia then I have no problem with it.any feedback as to the quality of cat would be great.

As far as I've heard, and I could be wrong, a lot of companies use magnaflow cats. Look into Berk front pipes. I believe they retail around 250 with hi flow magnaflow cat.

I switched my Motiv catless front pipe to Berk high Flow Cat Front pipe.
there is not much noise level difference when i switched out. i could notice it got reduced but not much. i didnt switch back to catless because i was lazy. lol
i would look for quieter exhaust or HF+Resonator combo front pipe

Cats are usually universally interchangable across the board. That being said, parts do carry their reputation of the manufacturing company. Invida and avo like to put higher prices on their stuff than motiv does. Motiv makes some damn good exhaust piping.

Magnaflow's 2.5" FP has a 400 cell cat and resonator. I was looking for the quietest and least-smelly, so this is the route I went. From what I've seen, most FP's seem to have a 200 cell HF cat and no resonator.
