Trip to japan, suggest any good JDM FR-S items to bring back?

Family member is going to japan. Whats a good JDM item to ask her to bring back? Something not to expensive and can be transported back easily?

Bring your scion badges and trade a local for toyota ones?

Or bring your FRS and trade for a GT86.

Full FT86 Nur Spec lip kit. Get the giant wing too. If you don't want it I'll buy it from you.

Honestly I wouldn't bother with car parts there. Do you really want to make your family member go through customs with car parts? If he decides to check his bags, then that's a heavy bag they'll charge for weight. Just tell him to keep an eye out for cool handheld gadgets and electronics.

If you really wanted to get something car related I guess you could get the FT86 airbag cover for your steering wheel?

That is a model kit by the way.

Probably items that come in small packages...obviously shes not coming back with any really large significant parts....Maybe JDM turn signals or Fog lights...Toyota Badges you can buy here for cheap. Maybe a Steering wheel or something like that...Realistically your not getting much I would probably ask her to find JDM shirts or Toys of GT86's lol

Maybe a JDM spec gas pedal? About the only functional thing that seems like it could reasonably fit in a luggage bag to come back.

Or JDM exhaust tips, if you haven't put a catback on and are planning on keeping the stock exhaust.

From the sounds of things you could probably trade a lot of FR-S related items for GT86 items if you could locate a willing local.

The JDM sec twins have a different gas pedal? What's the difference?

It's extended (taller) to make it better for heel-toe shifting. The reason that the US one is shorter is likely due to people being worried about the gas pedal getting stuck on the carpet after all of the "unintended acceleration" stuff.

My coworker brought the Tamiya 86 model kit back for me a few years ago. Still haven't built it.

When I go in the spring, I'm going to try to bring the TRD duckbill spoiler back with me. It should fit in my bag.

Honestly unless she finds it in a junkyard it wont be very cheap. I lived there for 2 years and know first hand. With the yen rate and just items there in general, the US market it alot cheaper then the Japanese market. Maybe something like a GT86 Toyota brochure from the dealership?
