Power expectations with catless UEL/ABE/k&n filter on OFT UEL stg 2

Trying to decide if I should get a OFT. My mods are listed in the subject and I do not plan to get anything else. Has anyone done a dyno run with my similar mods and a OFT stage 2 UEL tune (on 93 oct)? Just trying to see if its worth the expense.

I have the OFT Stage 2 UEL 93 Octane tune running on my car with a catless header and full exhaust. Will be going to the dyno later on this week.

The OFT will make a bigger difference to how your car runs than your header. Used with a header, it will wake things up in a very big way. I don't think I have every met anyone who felt their money was wasted. Usually I hear "I should have done it sooner"

Yeyep. I was skeptical at first with OFT and all, but after biting the bullet and ordered OFT. After running E85 for sometime now, I cant find a single reason to go back to stock.

Best 500 bucks besides tires you could spend on this car. And that is debatable if ur not tracking your car as twisties on stock tires is a blast.

After the flash, my idle is very smooth, and the power delivery is much more linear. Pulls alot harder in the mid range towards redline.

Stock: 162 hp / 134 tq (Dynojet)

185 hp / 149 tq with Stage 2 UEL OFT canned tune, RevWorks UEL header, stock OP, DC uncatted front pipe, stock catback, HKS drop-in with modded snorkel.

I then had a very reputable shop dial in the OFT tune a bit, and ended up with 191 hp / 156 tq.

Nothing wrong at all with the OTS tune, it was fantastic, but the car spends it's life on track, so I wanted to make sure everything was spot on.

I guess peak numbers aren't the big seller here. I am trying to decide if spending $500 for the OFT will make the car THAT much better/funner to drive. The extra 10 hp gained doesn't look all that attractive to me for the cost.

Yes it will.

All I have is an OFT and drop in filter and the car just drives so much better.

Don't bother with any exhaust non-sense unless you need noise and looks. The header will help to remove the torque dip and add some more power but even without the head it is still worth it.

Smoother. More responsive. None of the dead spots that exist with the stock tune. Much less of a torque dip. Smoother idle. More power up top. Revs more freely.

Those are the most fitting adjectives I could come up with before having my morning coffee.

@Shiv@Openflash described it pretty well.

I've had an OFT since last October. Best $500 spent on the car hands down.
