Ecutek on an automatic

Where do you load tunes into your car. Do you do it in standard mode or do you do it in Sport mode. Will it be the same on an automatic. Thanks in advance, Bernie

EcuTek tunes load the same on Automatic and Manual transmission cars.

You connect to the car's OBD port with a special cable connected to your laptop. You use EcuTek software to load the tune onto the car through the car's OBD port.

The mode does not matter in loading tunes.

Can we help you with a tune?

No, a dummy person cannot tune an engine. You will need a dyno and experienced tuner to dial in the settings for a custom turbo setup.

When people talk about getting EcuTek, they are talking about loading a pre-tuned map into their cars. Companies like Delicious Tuning, Circuit Motorsports, etc. all have their own maps which you can purchase to load into your car.

With EcuTek, an EcuTek tuner can also custom tune your car. We offer custom E-tuning and custom dyno tuning as well as pre-tuned maps.

Ecutek released end user tuning a while back, but in general "dummy" and ecu tuning don't go well together unless you are talking about just flashing the car with tunes provided by an experienced tuner via datalogging on the street/dyno.

I'm sure there are great basemaps for mod combinations, but you really want to catalog and get the tune dialed in to get the most from your investment.

I know EduTek can be end-user-tuned. But that's not usually what they're referring to when they say they're getting an ecutek.

regardless, there's no such thing as a dummy being able to tune (else he wouln't be dummy right?).

As for OP, isn't normal/sport mode just the way the transmission shifts? I don't see how that would affect engine management.

my problem is no tuner has a map for my request. some pre tunes are available but as my E85 fuel is 85% ethanol and is not 80% ethanol i think it is better to tune on dyno.
Now I need learning ecutek for tuning it.

Thanks guys
