I really like the sound of the nameless axel back and have been contemplating getting it alot lately(over a cheaper and quicker to arrive Invidia N1 that's my other choice) I'll be pretty much doing my exhaust one piece at a time to gauge what I want sound like in the end, so my question is for those running the nameless axel back what front pipe, down pipe etc are you running? I know I want to replace both the front pipe and axel back pretty close together then probably goto header after that. Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated coming from driving trucks for the past 5-6 years with stock everything, lol I'm a little lost.
Btw sorry for dragging this post out.. I'm tired and not quite all there right now. |

I personally am a big fan of Nameless's downpipe that replaces both the front pipe and overpipe but there are many good options here.

I read a bunch of reviews from their site and it seems alot of people commented that their cat/resonator pipe was a must for no drone. But I was actually thinking of getting something without all that for 2 reasons I don't live where care are checked for cats and was thinking its be a lil louder with straight through type like the Invidia one |

I have the 2.5" AB with a catless and unresonated invidia front pipe. Here's a quick video of me just revving. It sounds great so far.

I am running the nameless axel back exhaust.. Stock everything else.
Sounds great as it is by itself.. No need to change anything.. Not much benefit to changing anything else unless you are planning FI.. Quote:

I have the 2.5" nameless axleback (5" mufflers) with the 2.5" catted OP/DP with helmholtz resonator. It is absolutely perfect this way. If you plan on getting a header, go with this option. It is already quite loud without a header.
Do not say that you don't want a cat and a resonator just because you can. These two items are critical to sound level and what you actually get out of the exhaust note. I believe you should have at least one cat in your system. When you go to a header, it will probably be catless. Having one cat will reduce the raspy exhaust note you get from simply having straight pipes. It will also keep the back of your car clean (going catless will cause for very dirty exhaust gases that will make the back of your car look like ass). A resonator will eliminate drone. If you go on long road trips or even just a cruise down the highway for an hour, you will want to eliminate drone.

As far as resonators go, there's a difference between a loud exhaust and a exhaust that drones. A front pipe with resonator will still be plenty loud when you get on it, but it will prevent it from being ear bleeding in the cabin at 2,000RPM when cruising. |

My JDL UEL, JDL Overpipe, Invidia Catted FP, and Invidia N1 is about as loud as I can get it without having any rasp. I was really surprised how deep the sound is with it. It's close to a WRX. It's not too bad if you drive regularly and don't step on it. I've gotten so used to the N1. When you floor it though.... people will know and so will you.
My Nameless 3" system was a rasp machine. The loudness didn't bother me, but man was it raspy. They also get extremely defensive when I said it was raspy and sounded like crap, to the point of PM'ing me asking me to stop. Sorry if I spread a real life experience of a product that sounds like shit, but I feel like the public should know about it. |

BTW it does sound badass the way it is now!! Honestly the biggest thing that puts the invidia n1 behind nameless for me are the tips..I like the double walled tips a lot better imo. Some people have said the n1 is to common, but I could care less about that, I've only even seen like 3 others in a twins in person since they have come out |

I have the rev works header and nameless axelback and I would go with a header next to gauge noise that is the next part thats going to change volume most.....I will tell you catless header with nameless axelback puts off a pretty good amount of sound.
