Michelin Pilot Super Sports Wear Question

Good day

215/45/17 Michelin PSS

New Tread Depth 10/32"

Tires have 8750 miles

I noticed this Sunday when I went to rotate the tires.

Front tread depth 7/32"
Rear Tread Depth 3/32"

Has any one experienced such a drastic difference in tread wear?
My daughters' car isn't drifted, no burnouts, just back and forth to school and the occasional 1 hour trip.

Thanks

its got an aggressive limited slip and i'm betting as a kid in school she drives it wide open everywhere from a dead stop... sounds about right honestly. they have a 30k mile warranty and if you've got a discount tire local take it there and voice your concerns, they'll likely hook you up with a good chunk towards a new set of rears.

I wonder if perhaps someone else has been driving the car, too.

My story is with a totally different car and tire but on my wife's 335is the front tires are 7/32 and the rear were on 3/32, stock car(completely). I was the one driving the car for a full year and the tires lasted about 15k, note: these were run flats. I think its fairly coming if you're hard on the gas, taking tight turns and the car is RWD.

That's a drastic difference in wear F to R. My car has seen about 90% street and 10% track miles, and my fronts seem to wear slightly faster.

After ~9000 miles on these tires, my fronts are at 5/32" and my rears are at 6/32", but I did rotate them once.

I wonder if something is off about the rear alignment on her car.

My OEM tires last 10k miles with rotation...
Average MPG 19.5 (it was worse, 14.5)
Average fun 9/10
Use to hangout in the gas station with racing fuel at the pump, it's like go fishing

There is absolutely no way that's from normal driving. I have ~20k on my PSS now with still over 6/32nds front and rear and they've been wearing insanely even actually.

Sounds like someone has done a few good burnouts!

When I was in highschool I always tried to drive people's cars. And back then I didn't know shit about cars just liked to drive. Imagine if she let someone drive it who knows what it is lol

And maybe she is thrashing it, can't rule that out. I drove the fuck out my auto honda accord in high school
