Smile Navdy, a soccer mom device that could eventually be used for track purposes ?

While on Facebook today, I saw an add about a device called Navdy. I checked it up and it looks pretty sweet for dumb, regular, day-to-day commuter. But then it got me thinking. What if such a device could be connected to Torque to display information about your car or even show laptime on the track or somewhat of a ghost. (A bit like Jaguar Windshield)..

We are currently developing all Navdy apps in-house. We plan to open up development to partners in the future, but we’re focusing on ensuring stability and compatibility with the core feature set first. If you are interested in developing for Navdy, please email us at partnerships@navdy.com.
So what are your thoughs about that ? Think something cool can be done with it ?

I saw Navdy on reddit a while back. Looks cool, especially if they plan on releasing an SDK so we can get third party apps.

Also, I feel like I saw either Navdy or something very similar in a recent Mini Cooper commercial.

These aftermarket HUD systems have been around for a while, but this one looks pretty cool compared to the POS garmin one.

I want one for sure (in the new camaro, that I hope on acquiring) but I still think it is fairly pointless at this point, and more of something just cool.

That said - I want like 9 of them
