Fitment of open flash header

Does the open flash header fit with the "splash cover" that bolts below the engine or do you have to leave the cover off? I tried searching for my answer but I don't think I have the name right for the the cover to get the results I'm looking for.

use new gaskets when you install, or a couple of weeks later the old gaskets will leak, this applies for any header install any brand
