Planning to get SEIBON® - FA-Style Carbon Fiber Hood

As the title say's I'm going this route. Quick question to our friends here at forum who has it. Im just worried about the vent part that rain can get in when the car is parked with a hot engine? Is it a concern a concern or not really. I really would like to hold on this car as long as I could that's why I want to mod it the best I could and not worry about the heat down here.

Thanks in advance for your input.

when i HAD the hood there was no issue with it in the rain, BUT I did have the hood for not more than a week and i started to get hazing in the clear coat. I eventually got rid of it due to that while being uber pissed. In terms of water, it's not a problem, but it does get wet in there. When I washed my car with the hood, i put a towel on top of the motor for shits and giggles and noticed the towel was drenched.

Currently, I have the VIS hood that comes with under panels that slightly deflect/direct the water elsewhere. little bit on top of my fuse box but minimal and thats it. It still cools well with my turbo setup to where I can see the heat waves coming out from the vents after pushing the car. hope this helps.

Thanks for the information. From reading other threads it seems Seibon has quality issues. The RKSport hood might be a better option to provide more cooling to my Sprintex Supercharger.

Ya I wouldn't really recommend seibon. I haven't heard of rksport so I can't provide any input for you on that one. Sorry my man!

Does look nice though! Good luck man! Look Into the vis ams one. I have nothing but good things to say about that. You can even remove the rain guards if you want
