Have you tried deleting the phone from the head unit, and your phone and start a fresh set-up / pairing?

This also happened to me, I thought it was my phone's fault for the longest while. Then I tried deleting and pairing it again, it's worked ever since. No idea why the car stopped connecting to it in the first place, but I noticed almost anything electronic these days need a reset once in a while.

There is an option for the bluetooth entry (in this case your phone) to restore default settings. That will fix it.

thanks, I have reset it a few times. trouble is its intermittent. cuts out in the middle of a call. works on some numbers not others. Toyota said they'll replace it. I will let you know if they are as easy too deal with as they say. I always expect to get screwed on warranties so maybe this will be ok.

What phone do you have connected? Does it work in other cars you have/have had? How many other phones are on the connection list?

Bluetooth is really stupid, in my experience if you try to sync more than 1 phone to a bluetooth device the results are mixed at best.

I have 3 phones on it and following instructions I tried to delete all of them to reload this one but it wont delete them either. I guess its done. I will try to delete them again. I don't have a smart phone, just a new flip phone.

I believer there was a setting on the HU to stop downloading the address book from the phone. I think there is a bug with that. I know I can be driving along and for my phone to suddenly disconnect. Also, I can't start BT audio, if I start the car before turning on bluetooth on my phone. This HU is truly one of the worse touch screen units I've ever experienced.
