Tap Flasher Install

Trying to get the OEM flasher disconnected. I was trying to pry it off the clip, but can't get it to come off. I saw a video telling the installer to put a flathead screwdriver into the slot at the top, but do I need to pry hard? I don't want to break anything as far as the mount goes.

Thanks

Pry, pry and pry some more. Make sure to get hands nice and bloody! That's how I did it any ways.

can't remember how I did it, but I just used the factory flathead screwdriver and was able to get it out. I believe the flathead is required to disengage a tab, or something... can't really remember. good luck though.

fwiw, I reclined the seat all the way, and was laying upside-down w/ my head in the footwell w/ a flashlight strapped to my head to do the install...

I just used a tiny straight interior removal tool. you just need to lift the tab a little bit. Also, it is much easier if you pull the relay down first, then you can actually see it. You can see where the tab releases by looking at the replacement one also.
