Re-usng current, BMW, winter wheels on a BRZ - am I being stupid?

So I have a very nice set of custom made alloy wheels made to F20 BMW spec (18x8" ET50 5x120 PDC) wearing almost brand new 245/35R18 & rather expensive/nice winter tyres. With 5x100 to 1x120 PDC adaptors I end up with 18x8" ET30 wheels. Is there any hope of getting this all to fit in the arches of a BRZ or is this a lost cause & leaving me budgeting for new wheels?

18x8 with +30 will fit no problem. ESPECIALLY at stock suspension height.

Might not be much of an issue in England, but if you'll see any snow accumulation I wouldn't want 245 width tires.

The spacers are not going to be cheap, so why bother? You can get some decent budget wheels for maybe 400 GBP, and then you won't be exposing your "very nice" wheels to the hazards of winter. Plus, you don't have to fuss with the spacers... Also, for winter, I'd do 17's.

wparsons, normally only get snow for a 5 days/year. But even wide winter tyres are better than summer tyres on snow. My need is one of traction on a road surface covered in partially frozen muddy puddles & patchy ice. For this job I've found a wider winter tyre better than a narrower one.

Dan, always found lighter, stiff & strong wheels with a high quality finish means less maintenance. These current wheels I've been using since '08 on an E87 & F20 1 series. Besides their weekly wash they've required no work doing to them to keep them looking good through winter.

PS. where has the thanks button gone?
