Dfw shop for installs
Anyone know where I can get all the stuff I buy from here installed onto my car without giving away my first born? I've been on a spending rampage buying a bunch of stuff with no tools (or knowledge for that matter) to install myself. So far I got a lip kit, side skirts, rear apron, rear diffuser, coil overs, and am in the process of maybe getting a turbo kit. Any suggestions??

Honestly, all the cosmetic stuff can be done yourself to save you your first born. I'd give it a 2/10 difficulty level. All you'd need is a drill, screwdriver, and 3m tape if not already provided. Coilovers are maybe a 5/10 if you've never done it before and there are a lot of great DIY on how to do it properly with basic household tool. A friend would be handy to pass the time along and hold things up. In addition, you'd gain some experience along the way which is not a bad thing if you plan on working on any car in the future. If I ever catch a free weekend I'd be glad to help for the cost of a beverage or two.

I'd say grab a friend who has experience with these installs and do it yourself. The money you would spend on labor hours for all this would probably pay for another full lip kit. Coilovers are a lot easier to install than you think. Definitely beats having to install lowering springs! The one you'd probably want professionally installed is the turbo kit unless you have a friend you really trust that can guide you through with that.

Sounds like you should do more research before buying the turbo kit. Just fair warning.

I've heard from multiple people that AWD Tuning is willing to work on our platform and do a hell of a job. As far as prices though, I have no clue. I was planning on going over there eventually and having a chat with someone about their work, experience, prices, etc...
I'm in the same boat. So far i've managed to do everything myself with a friend, but he and I can't do it all without some sort of lift and better equipment. |

http://www.enginebasics.com/Advanced...Induction.html
I'd read up on stuff like this. Don't use that as a golden reference as I just googled it. I'm not trying to come off as condescending either, as I do not know how much knowledge you possess with forced induction. Just remember that it's called forced induction for a reason. Do your homework and ask people who have experience for advice and guidance. Besides the last thing I want is seeing a thread from a fellow twins owner blowing their motor. Best of luck and look forward to seeing a potential future build! |

ATS Racing in denton has a turbo FRS that is running fine that the shop owner drives. They have also installed a few S/C kits. No new yet about them making a turbo kit for the FRS as not many people have asked them about it. These are my opinions of the 2 main shops that are working on our cars in the North Dallas area. I know most people don't want to drive to denton. It all depends on what work you want done, just do your research.

Bailey's Hyperformance Factory is where went to inquire about a Flex Fuel kit install. I believe its bhfactory.com...
Crew seems nice and when I asked about how much work they've done with the twins, they informed me they did a turbo install that had rolled out about an hour before I got there, so its worth looking into. |
