St Coilovers vs BC Racing Coilovers?
Hello! Was wondering if anyone can chime in on ST's vs BC Racing Coilovers. I know that the spring rates are different by alot from the two. I'm fairly new to coilovers but I just want a good affortable set of coilovers that will overall improve the handling of the car without sacrificing comfort. I dont mind the ride being a little stiff but not too stiff. I've also been looking at how low the BC Racing Coilovers can go. Thanks!

ST. Made by KW, basically the KW V1 without the stainless steel coating. Can't go moar Lowe like the BC coils, but at that point ride and coilover quality plus safety becomes a problem. ST is also cheaper I believe.

Can't speak much for the BC's but I can say that if the ST's are made by KW the quality is top notch. I have a set of V2's on my other car and haven't had any issue with them, still running like new after 7 yrs.

Bringing this thread back from teh dead.
I'm in the same boat as the OP. Looking for a set of coilovers that will increase performance while not making daily driving suck (and wont make my girlfriend complain). ST is my #1 choice, but I live in NJ where salt\snow will put a beating on the car for a few months per year. I've seen\read about ST's rusting up and what not which is a huge disappointment and takes them off of the list of potentials. Looking to spent about $1,000 or so. I know the ST's are better and everyone loves them. I'm hoping to get some feedback from those who have had experience with the BC coils. Last edited by B-R-Z; 04-03-2015 at 07:08 PM. |

Im not going for low, 1.5" or so is fine. Looking for the fender to outline the tire with a slight gap.

there is WAY more to the differences between ST and BC coilovers than just the spring rate.
BC is just good for slamming the car to however low you want. thats about it.

If all that matters is being as low as possible, go BC. Any other usage, go ST (or almost anything but BC).

I know the STs are good, it's their construction (metal that rusts) that makes them undesirable. Trying to get feedback on BC's.
