37 vs 45 offset - Advan RS

Does anyone have any input as to which would probably fit better?

Ultimately, I'd like a set of the Dark Gunmetal Advan RS (yum, 15lbs), but the 5x100 come in two different offsets. I'd welcome any ideas people have (along with suggestions for the best brand/dimension rubber to wrap them in).

This will be for daily driving.

17x8 +37 would be quite aggressive, but should fit IMO.

It would be 11.5mm further in than this: (18x9 +38)

Yeah, I'm looking for something that's almost completely flush with the front fenders (non-staggered). I really don't like the amount of tuck, currently.

Love those RSs!!!!
Please help me understand some info here.

I'm still not really understanding the offset.
So of you compare 37 vs 45. The higher the number the further the edge of the rim sticks out past the fender?
What is the offset measuring exactly? Is it in mm?
And what do you mean by aggressive? More rim outside the fender, meaning you will have to do a stretched tire?

The offset is the distance in MM that the hub face is off center. The closer the hub is to the face of the wheel, the further in the wheel sits.

This site is excellent for comparing rim and tire sizes, and you can see how changing the offset effects the rim.

I really understand now after using that link. It still sounds like you can't understand fully buy the numbers how far a rim will be outside the fender without actually trying it on the car. Too many variables.
