If you had 30K to spend on a car new or used what would it be

There are just some days where you really miss the comfort of a more civilized car that provides more comfort and can handle 4 people in the car(it can be 2+2 as long as there is more room then the twins). But a car that can still have fun. What would it be? A good example would be a nice GTI..(flame suit on) Or a nice BMW but sadly those would be past 30K for the fun ones.

Define more civilized?

You could get a lovely e30 m3 for 30k...

Sporty, more sound deeding, more weight, bigger engine. Not being a car guy an E30 M3 would not be my first choice.

I would say 2008+ e92 m3 but those are going for around 33-36k. I still think the e90's look good and are around 30k.

I like larger coupes. So it would have to be the E63 for me.

I was giving this some thought. If I were to get a second car, I would want it to have more cargo space than the twins, room for at least 2 adults in the backseat, and with RWD or AWD. The Saab 92X would be a great choice here and the idea of having a sleeper is very appealing to me. Having said that, if I were to have $30k to throw around with cars, then the obvious winner would be the the new Subaru WRX.
