Catted headers - go with uncatted frontpipe?
I've put down an order for HKS EL catted headers because law enforcement around these parts are pretty tight, but also I recall the primary cat is in the headers, so there wouldn't be any problems with a CEL.
However, I'm staying N/A and looking to squeeze as much power as I reasonably can. Would an uncatted front pipe add to an already extremely loud single-exit cat back exhaust? Would I see a large difference in gains if I go catted/no cat? Thanks! |

I have a feeling the catted version of the header is no longer available. Unless you're getting new old stock.

If you're concerned about the law, why are you removing a cat from the front pipe?
You might as well do a catless header and a catted front pipe as that makes more sense on a visual inspection and also for the life of the cat. They burn out quickly in aftermarket headers. |

I second this, my headers are catless and my front pipe has a high flow. I'm also N/A and planning on pushing for the most power possible in this aspiration, but I want to be somewhat compliant with the law...
