front bumper help

i hope this is the right place to put this. If not...mods please move it for me

So i got out of work and from half way down the parking lot i saw something was wrong. Turns out someone hit and ran my car. Looks like it could have been a tap from an suv or truck but it still broke my heart.

Wanted to see if anyone knew if there was a cheap and easy way to fix the damage or if i would have to get a new front end. Pictures are below.

Im thinking i need to take off the bumper and try to flatten it out. followed by some sort of filler (not good with body work, so not sure if there is something to use) and some touch up paint.

I might need to have a professional do it as i have already stated im not good with bodywork, but i wanted to see if anyboby out there had some knowledge to pass on to me.

Its about the same price for a replacement bumper/paint than repairing yours and paint. A new bumper from Toyota is under $300 last time I bought one. That's about 6 hours of repair time so most shops/insurance will just replace for a crack like that

Ouch. I'd take it to a body shop and have them take a look. The bad thing about urethane bumpers is they often bounce back and hide underlying damage. Your crash bar behind the cover could be FUBAR and you wouldn't even know...

thanks for the suggestions.

i took it to a body shop. they quoted me 325 with an after market bumper from korea and paint.

waiting for a quote using an oem bumper but it does look like they prefer to replace and repaint than to fix the bumper.

Poodles i have not taken the bumper off yet but since you did mention it i will make sure the crash bar is in good shape.

In my experience, people just dont see this car. The 3rd day I had my frs, a neighbor backed into the front, and I went through insurance to get it fixed. Cost them 1000 bux to fix. Fast forward to today, went to trader Joes to pick up a few items and as I was leaving someone didnt see me backing out and hit my rear bumper. Im pretty frustrated, but it looks only cosmetic. Even so, there have been many close calls where I think I should get a train horn instead of the regular horn. photos to come when I Find a place to host them.

3rded And don't go with aftermarket bumper. They cost nearly as much. Also, since the paint is not one of these 3 stage pearl metallic colors the paint should cost no more than $200~300.
