Anyone else's car get musty after it rains

I have tired searching for a leak everywhere but cannot find it but after it rains my car smells mega musty, I think I'm just gonna set it on fire if I can't find the leak.

Are you driving it when it rains and it smells musty? Or is the car just sitting and when you get in it that is smells musty?

If its raining a good thing is to turn on the heat, cabin recirculate the air and turn on the AC.

Yeah, mine does this too. But to be fair, so does my GFs camry. Generally just recirculate hot air when I smell it. Goes away pretty quickly. Wouldn't be surprised if it's moisture from the vents.

Check your cabin filter, it's probably dirty.

I feel like my car is also a little musty when the AC is off. It's not even humid where I am either lol.. There are a few "car bomb" air freshners that you can try which will circulate through all the vents.

As an alternate solution if you can't find the leak, you can buy reusable dessicant packs that will collect moisture in your car to a single location so you can remove it. You can get a little dessicant tub that actually traps water in it, which you dump out when it gets full. They also make a metal dessicant pack that collects moisture in the material, which you then get rid of by putting the pack in the oven to bake it out. They work pretty well to control humidity, which in turn will help keep the fungus you're smelling out of your car.

You can get them from Amazon, WalMart or the gun department of any decent sporting goods store.

It is probably not something in the interior, but in the air delivery system. I would avoid the horrible scented cleaners, but perhaps spray ozone into the air intake area. Another choice is lysol which will kill any fungus. However, you want to make sure to flush out the system after using it for several hours. Another safer fix is to go to a hardware store. They sell containers of crystals that effectively absorb odors. Again, avoid the scented ones, the best kinds give off no scent at all. I believe they can be refreshed in a microwave after a few months.
