A little complaint about Burlington Toyota (RESOLVED)

So I went in for an oil change at Burlington Toyota and later noticed that the tech didn't put my valve stem caps back on after checking my tire pressure. I went in to ask about it and they said they didn't see them and sent me on my way. Now I know they re just valve stem caps and not really worth anything but I thought they would have offered a solution seeing that they took a piece of my car off and didn't put it back on.

Would you keep giving this dealership your business? I'm kind of worried now about what else they may have not put back on my car. I'm even more passed that they didn't just hand me a new set of valve stem caps. Am I being petty or is it alright for me to stop giving them my business over something that probably costs $2

That's bs, unless they were stolen from your car beforehand. If they're not gonna own up to such a minor issue that's so easily fixed, I wouldn't go back.. In case something worse happens next time.

During my first oil change, the mechanic who drove my car scratched my shiftknob with his ring or something. I brought it up and it was replaced, no questions asked. They could've easily said that it was already there.

I see you're from Ancaster, why not just go to Ancaster Toyota?

I really dig their service department, also helps that they're right beside my work

Burlington Toyota is near my work and I met the service advisor at the Sound of Music when the FRS first came out and he's a cool dude so I thought ill bring my car there.

I never had an issue with them before but this kind of annoys me. They could have said sorry we don't have blue ones but have some black ones. It would cost them like 10 cents and I would be happy that they're so nice And I wouldn't take them because they don't match so it would cost them nothing.

I'll be bringing my car to Ancaster Toyota now.

George from Burlington Toyota gave me a call today to discuss this matter I'm happy to say it's been resolved.

I really appreciate him taking the time out of his day to reach out and fix the problem. Even one as small as valve stem caps.

I'd think valve stem caps would be one of those consumables that they keep on hand and give to whoever needs them free of charge.

The fact that you made this thread and he was probably alerted to do that, pisses me off.

This is why i havent gotten my "free oil change" or any service at the dealer and i just approached my one year ownership.

Well no offense, but if you did something wrong and didn't know it, how would you ever find out? I assume your wife or g/f tells you exactly what's wrong every time she's mad at you, too.

Fact of the matter is the express lube guys probably checked his tire pressure for him and accidentally put his caps aside. For the dealer management to handle it how they did should be commended, not frowned upon. They had nothing to do with it but it sounds like they were happy to support once they found out.

Glad to hear it all got sorted out!
