do i need a 3" overpipe for this?
i currently have a afe takeda 2.5" exhaust and it's too loud so i'm planning on buying a perrin and am considering the 3" just incase if i wanted to turbo later on haha

this connects to the front pipe, rather than the over-pipe, but yes, it bolts up to the stock front pipe just fine.

How much louder is this than the resonated? Does it rasp?(assuming a 3inch frontpipe/overpipe?)

So basically I installed my UEL catless header, and there was a decent amount of rasp going WOT. This was with the stock OP and FP, which I think are like 2.17" in diameter. But to be honest, after I installed the 3" resonated version, I kind of wish I left the non-resonated mid pipe on because it's reasonably quieter (probably like 25%). The resonator is pretty huge on the resonated version, so it really tones it down. I think ideally i'd run a a non-resonated mid pipe, and then get a catted/resonated front pipe for the perfect sound.

That's just me though. I have a video of how it sounded w/ the non-resonated pipe here:
