Oh geez, another clash of two different subcultures. Performance guys beating on the stance guys.

One goes to the track and crashes into the tire wall. The other scrapes on speed bumps.

The battle rages on!

You should have had like 3 options. There is a definite line of "too much stance". But, -4 degrees of camber slammed I'm perfectly ok with, its the -12 degree hovercrafts with exhaust tips extended 6"+ from the bumper I can't stand.

I drove beside a "stanced" as hell FR-S on I-5 a few months ago. For a good hour at least. I was driving my wife's Rav4. About every thirty seconds an enormous CRASHING and GRINDING sound would issue from under that poor car. And occasional showers of sparks on the road behind him. His tires were stretched so tight they looked like 180 motorbike tires.

As far as I'm concerned, that car was RUINED and I wouldn't pay $5k for that car, with the bottom stripped out from under it. People think their cars are just fine if the paint is still shiny, but that poor car was as good as totaled to me.

I do appreciate a perfectly flush and lowered car, however, some are just too ridiculous.

Both ricers and stancers value form > function and are proud to flaunt that philosophy. Instead of going to the flea market and Pep Boys like ricers do, stance kids drop stacks on JDM mad tyte parts.

Is it the new rice? No. It's just rice on a much higher budget. What looks good is completely subjective. But it's easy to tell when you've ruined a car's handling.

Wait what about all this stuff about how "rice" is supposed to be race-inspired? How does stance/hellaflush have anything to do with that then?
