BRZedit

Hi guys,

Anyone ever seen the vvti stop working after a reflash? Have tried the warm up at idle after flash etc. but still nothing. I can see the vvt target in the logger but no actual cam values.

Thanks

Exhaust and intake?

Exhaust cam only seems to become active once the oil hits 30C from what I've seen.

After you flash always turn ignition off then on for 20 sec then start and let idle do not rev or touch accelerator for a minute or so till normal idle achieved. This allows ecu to run through its initial diagnostics and calibrations, if you drive straight off ir will disable vvt.

It should sort itself out if you turn off and then on then let idle, unless you flashed a weird cam table or something.

Does the car run ok , as if vvt disable it would be down on power.

maybe logger setup does not match rom type ?

Just flashed the stock cal in. Been trying the 20sec and let it come back to a normal idle before doing anything. Still no success..

I have had some issues picking up the exhaust cam after a flash, as steve99 said just let it idle, I give the throttle a little blip after 20-30 seconds and it starts to become active.

Tried the 20-30 seconds.. Nothing. Very strange. The extra strange parts is no matter what I do to it on the dyne no cams. Take it of and drive it 200m down the road and stop, the cams start working.... Frustrating

After a reflash , I just wait til Afr sensor ohms settle to normal at around 46 ohms. That's usually done while idling.

I've been using BRZedit for a long time now and probably flashed my ecu over 30 times. Never had an issue as you described. Cams come in about 15-20sec after starting.

2 wheel dyno ??

only thing I can think of is front wheels not turning while back wheels are upsets ecu for some reason (traction/stability ?) soon as you drive off all ok.

dont think it would be a problem unique to brz edit as flash process is same for other tuning platforms, although I believe brz edit can do a partial write.

We tuned our turbo kit with BRZedit on our dyno, but did not recall ever having this issue. We will be tuning another on here this week. I will see if we have that issue.
