A sad day for the 10 Series

Bad hail storm last night. It came in waves.

Quick morning (mourning) shots before heading off to work.

The damage is plainly visible from over 75 feet away.

And a close up this evening.

Repair it or take the insurance payout?

see page two for more carnage pictures

I'm sorry to see that but if that happened to my car, I would try to get into a brand new one. I know this is a 10 series and the colour is limited edition, but I would try to get a Monogram. That's just me though.

Holy crap is that cracked? Sorry to hear, and see..I'd probably get it repaired seeing as it's only cosmetic damage, still it must hurt..

On a lighter note

Great googily moogily was it hailing basketballs?!

I'm not sure WHAT I'd do. It's all cosmetic, so if insurance will fix it, go for it. But if the payout is decent you can go Monogram...

Buy a house with an enclosed garage next time.

Not much you can do if you are parked outside.

I would fix it, may go widebody just for the heck of it.

Holy smokes...your car really took a beating. What did your insurance say the payout was? I would have it repaired by a highly reputable body shop.

...and live some place with a garage.

I would think the front fenders, hood, and at least one taillight would be completely replaced. I be looking at how much work the roof and rear fenders need to restore the car back to where you want it. Sorry about your misfortune.

It will depend on the estimate. There are still 10 series being sold so if it needs to be payed out and replaced.

Ouch, those pictures made me cringe. Isn't ignition silver really hard to match like Whiteout?

As a fellow Scion 10 owner...i feel your pain already!!! OUCH! Good luck with the insurance company...it's the paint that's saying you should keep it...if it wasn't for the paint I'd go for monogram.

A sad day for the 10 Series

Insurance are supposed to be able to pay for this... This happens to one of my previous car and they have paid for everything... They have also change some parts like the hood....

Good luck!

OMFG! That just makes me sick. I would have cried. I know there are some really great body shops but between ordering parts and the work involved and taking a chance on quality of repair... you are going to be without your car a while (Weeks/Months?). I would probably take the payout and get rolling in a new/used FRS tomorrow.
