K&N drop in filter problem!?!?

I just installed a K&N drop in filter last night. I disconnected the battery to reset the ECU. After the reset, I let my car idle for a few mins. Today when I drove the car, I noticed the throttle response was horrible. Was just wondering if it was because I reset the ECU, car heas to relearn everything and throttle response will go back to normal if not a little better than before due to the increased air flow. Was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem with the K&N drop in filter or if I did something wrong.

That thread should have all the answers you need. Specifically, reply #3.

Yea, I had installed k&n on a Volvo, passat, camry and frs and now a cold air intake and I never reset anything. Once you turn the car on and drive it the ecu will readjust on its own..

I followed this
"Could try Jeff Perrin's suggestion of turning car on without starting the engine, fully press and release gas pedal 20 times, turn car off, turn on without starting again, press and release 20 times again, then start engine. No more ECU reset dead pedal"

and worked instantly!

Thanks everyone!
