What would you pay for a used FRS with nice parts?

So I'm really trying to open up Pandora's box here, but I'd like to think it could yield some good results. I'm so off-and-on with this car that at I'm at a crossroads as far as what I'm going to do with it. Fuck man I just mounted my first set of TEs on the thing and I still don't 'love' the car I drive...if you can't love your car after you put Volk wheels on it then what the fuck are you doing? Really?

How much would you expect to pay for a 2013 'Raven Black' FRS with the following parts:

TE37RT in 17x9.5+40
235/40R17 Yokohama S.Drive (less than 100 Miles)
Battle Version Toe Arms
Powered By Max Rear LCAs
Nichiei Racing Project BLACK Coilovers
TOM'S LED Tail Lights (JDM ones)
9,335 Miles

KBB puts this car at just under $21,000. Factor in close to $6,000 in the aforementioned parts and it comes out to ~$27,000.

This, of course, is from a seller's standpoint. What would someone looking to buy this thing with all parts included expect to pay? I don't care if your feedback is a 'lowball' or not because I'm at the point where I know I'm either selling it or stuck with it. I normally never take losses on cars/parts but this year I've added the military to the equation and with that comes time restraints. Time restraints = less time to sell/more eager to get shit out of my face = less income or a loss.

So, please...give me some input. Old guys and young kids who's parents paid for your car alike: give me your input.

Aftermarket parts add little to no value. So don't think to add $6k.

Maybe 24k, aftermarket parts don't necessarily increase the value of the car.

Aftermarket parts valued at ~50% I'd say, so $24K. With a modded car, you're hoping someone has the EXACT same taste as you...

You would be better going back to stock and selling the parts separately.

Well, I would like to know who did the craftsman ship...Then I would desire to know how the car was driven...If someone really raced the car (often..) and told me I would not buy it, If he didn't race it (on the track) I still would be vary hesitant to buy it as they may have raced it on the street...Used sports cars are a huge red flag to me unless I know the buyer personally. For example my friend may drive a M3 that isn't a "racer" I may purchase from them or my sister in law ( a typical driver, not racer). From some stranger off the street, it makes me vary cautious, especially this car! I wouldn't do it, as that is why I went new, I know how the car was driven and taken care of. Yeah, I wouldn't recommend buying used cars. I would think maybe 23500 assuming no warranty.

Well said!!! Then I would consider paying much more!! It gives the impression that it was better taken care of.

It doesn't matter what KBB says your car is worth. What is the market like? How many miles are on your car? Do you have all of the maintenance history for it? I can find a FRS for 18-20k listed price in my area, so figure maybe actually 17.5-19 actual selling price. I'd go maybe 20 on yours and that's only because of the wheels. The rest of the parts actually lower the value of your car and if it's something I as the buyer ultimately don't like, now I have to take the time to put the stock parts on if they're included. And if they're not, I have to replace them.

THIS!! Some dipshit on facebook said I should ask $18k for my car because it was modded, it "decresed the value" he said. KBB is around $20,000. Needless to say, he was wrong. I got quite a few offeres on a car with 20k miles, and in an accident when i put if up for $22k. Lowest serious offer I got was $21k. I ended up backing out because I can't think of another car that I would rather have, truthfully. With your mods, I'm thinking $23k-$24k is a good place to start and be willing to give a bit. You want the most out of your car, I agree with parting it out.

PS-I'm hoping he's on here, see's this thread and feels like a fool.

LOVE my FR-S, stock wheels and all. How about just sell the car and keep the wheels, since those seem to mean more to you than the car!

Well I certainly got some good feedback. I'd say it's 50/50 on what I'd agree upon.

Let me add some info:
-this is not my first time selling a car
-I know what a part-out is
-I'm not a teenager
-the car is garage-kept, covered with sheets
-I'm not of the belief that aftermarket parts decrease value

I wasn't crystal clear and I apologize. For all intents and purposes let's say you LIKE ALL THE PARTS I've added thus far. I installed them myself with my father in-law (more pro-steez tools than Pep Boys, 38yrs of being a mechanic), I have all the receipts for purchases, and the mileages at which they were installed.

Please keep in mind that I haven't even owned the car as long as most of you have. It will be 1yr on 04JUL14. My mileage is listed and compared to some other Private FS ads it's very low.

Please try not to throw in other things like, "Well does your father in-law have a business card?" If you're going to tell me you'd say shit like that when your purchasing a car I'd venture to say you're not a 'car person' and would most likely love to appear as one. Stay objective.

It's a matter of opinion. Someone wants your car with aftermarket parts and doesn't want to pay for them because they 'decrease value'...then you offer to put OEM ones back on and they want the price lowered? By their logic you should ask for MORE in OEM form?

How are my suspension components made out of superior material and capable of wide ranges of adjustments decreasing value? I'm not talking about a shitty carbon-wrapped hood that's only for aesthetics.

I'll just come out and say it: if you try to get a car with aftermarket parts on the cheap then we're not going to agree on things. I guarantee that not one of you guys saying parts decrease in value fresh-out-the-box would sell a used part for less than 85% of it's original value. By that logic, all coilovers in the FS threads would be $700 and TE37s would cost $1500.

That's ludicrous.

Completly agree with you. He was telling me I could sell the car for $2k more if I put the stock parts back on and sold it in stock form….basically, getting rid of the Toms, TSW's, Kartboy shifter, springs, intake, headlights and on and on. Basically get rid of everything, that first off, is harmess on the car, and second, usually tend to be the first mods anyway.
