My wife got some puppies. Only two of them though. I think she called them sweater puppies.

Either way, there was a marked performance upgrade afterwards.

Nah, real aftermarket, not OEM aftermarket. She's a turbo MR2 girl, so we'll call it the Garrett version.

"gas pedal" doesn't have anything to do with fuel delivery, unless it's on a diesel, but then it'd still be the wrong terminology.

"pickle fork"

"shock absorber" should technically refer to the springs in a car, not the dampers.

"motor" when referring to an engine

"coilover" when referring to an aftermarket height-adjustable coil-over-damper setup, and not simply a coil spring over a damper, as in stock suspension. what's even funnier is when height adjustable spring seats that don't fit over the damper are provided in one of these kits (think volkswagen rear or ae86 etc), and they're still called coilovers.

"dizzy"

"rattle gun"

"pig" or "pumpkin"

like it or not, there's a TON of slang, shorthand, and incorrect terminology in the automotive world. splitting hairs over "wheel" and "rim" makes you look like a nerd. worse, a nerd who learned everything from nerds on NASIOC instead of from turning wrenches next to old timers.
