What would be a resonable price to pay for an R33 skyline?
I've considered getting a Supra, or maybe a Skyline, something right hand drive. Just wondering what an R33 Skyline might fetch these days?

Isn't it just the R32's that are now legal?

The very early produced R32s are legal now that they're old enough, but if I remember correctly the R33 went through the motions and was crash tested and can be federalized, so it's much easier to bring one into the country.
Honestly, I wouldn't buy one. It's a cool car, but it's a niche vehicle, and the only real reason to have one is just to say you have one. RHD is a pain in a LHD country. If you want something RHD just to have, buy an old USPS Jeep. ![]() 40-50k seems the going rate. |

To put it in perspective in Aus where they weren't sold but could be imported the going rate is about 5-7k, they are rare in the US but apart from that they really don't have much going for them.

no idea, but I do plan on importing an r34 when they are able to be legally. I've started saving for a long time. I plan on making it my winter beater lol

About $13k for GTRs probably $16k for minty ones (same as Turbo Supras). $8k for GT-Sts.
http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rd...486816948.html There are guys that import via Canadian registration. Depends on the state I think, but federal is still illegal if the car is too new? It's been done, but a bit of risk I guess. PS, RHD sucks balls in normal driving. I had a JDM 1JZ TT Supra for a while.

The one I'm looking at is 25k, GTST, with 57K miles. Looks like the price is too high.

Can't help you with your original question, but the giddy RHD feeling loses its appeal very quickly after you own one. That, coupled with the comparably "low" abundance of RB/Skyline parts compared to JZ/Supra parts.
Just something to think about. If you don't care about that, go for it. |

Crazy! People here in Ontario, Canada are having tough times unloading these rhd cars. R32 gtrs can be had for $10k. R33 gtrs go around $15-20k depending on how mint. Cut those prices in half if you want the rwd variants.
Personally, if it's not an r34, I couldn't be bothered with rhd.

2.000.000 to 2.700.000 Yen for a good one. I would advise you to skip on the GTST's, if you want RWD then get a Supra or Chaser.

No R33 except a specific group brought in by MotoRex is federalized for usage on US public roads. Some of those were later deteremined to be illegal even (due to MotoRex taking shortcuts), but not a single R33 brought into the country today is legal not matter what you do to it.
