Lucas Oil Oil Stabilizer
So I've used this stuff in my older cars and swear by it. I love the stuff and am getting to 3k on my ODO and am about to change my oil out for some Motul 0W20 100% synthetic. Has anyone used the Lucas Oil Synthetic Oil Stabilizer in their FR-S/BRZ/GT86 yet?
Also my father has used full synthetic with Lucas Oil Synthetic Oil Stabilizer in his 2004 GMC Subarban ever since he got the car and has run into zero engine issues with the SUV and it's got 450k miles on the original engine. He travels a lot for his job. lol. Anyone have anything to say to dissuade me from trying it out in my '14 BRZ Limited? |

After giving it some thought I'm going to just go with 100% Motul instead of adding the Lucas Oil Synthetic Stabilizer. On a car this new with so few miles on it I'm not really gaining anything by adding it and on an engine designed to run 0W20 I'd rather not increase the thickness of the oil all willy-nilly.

Don't put Lucas OS in your engine. Look up the MSDS, gear oil is better suited for differentials not engines.

Lucas oil stabilizer is very bad for engines, it foams up under high revs, there is a youtube on it somewhere

Yup stay away, you now have no idea what the additive pack in your oil consists of.

Lucas Oil Stabilizer is essentially 80W gear oil and soap. Neither should be in your engine.
