From what Ive seen a +25 is definitely a no go, unless you want a lot of poke.

The +32 is pushing it. IIRC RavSpec said a 17x8 +35 has mild poke in the front. What you want pokes 9.35mm further out.

Easiest calculator I've found it here...

http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

Plug in the stock size on the left, 215/45 on 17x7 +48 offset. Then put in what ever size you are considering. It will do all the calculating for you.

I'm doing 225/40 on 18x8 +42 for example

Here is one that I have used before. Like above, you just fill in info and press calculate. Oh yeah remember to select all boxes after you fill in the specified fields. Gives you before and after pics.

will mine fit?

I was thinking about getting four OZ ultraleggera's which are 17X8 48mm offset and I'm pretty sure there's no problem with that. My question is about what size tires to get. I've read that 235 is too much for the front, so can I just get 215's on the front and 235's in the back with the same wheel on each though? TireRack is recommending me to get 235's for those wheel so my question is basically if you can run different size tires on the same size wheel and if it will have an effect on handling.

Sorry never had the money to upgrade my wheels before so I feel somewhat clueless...

I think with that offset 235s should work just fine.
