Stay Fresh Car Care Leather Conditioner Review
Yesterday I received leather conditioner and a grey foam hex pad applicator. I applied the conditioner to my steering wheel as well as my aftermarket armrest. The leather conditioner applies very thin and easy and appears to self-level after a few minutes. It is a liquid so I applied some to the foam applicator and worked it into and around the steering wheel. It doesn't have a strong scent, it spreads thin, and most importantly after about 30 seconds it is completely dry to the touch. No greasy feel. Works great.
Below is a picture to show how dark and rich it made the steering wheel look. Total time spent was about 5 minutes and again, even though it looks deep and shiny, there is still no greasy film left behind. |

Perhaps silly Q is there a "matte" version of this conditioner? I ask this as some leather treatments in past I've used actually enhance by means of much gloss, which I do not desire and like to keep things toned down.
Thx.

You can get a real nice matte look if you apply a small amount to the pad and work it in for just a bit. You can then also wipe off after with a microfiber towel to remove any excess gloss, but if you apply a small enough amount there shouldn't be much if any. I will attach a pic later to show how it can turn out for those who want a matte brand new look.

I wonder if regular use will help prevent the steering wheel bubbling of the leather that a few folks have experienced?

I've applied it to my dashboard and front pieces mainly for the UV protection from the extremely hot vegas sun. So far I have not noticed any fading or defects in any of the applied parts.
