Vishnu OFT Tune Coming Soon for the SBD Turbo Kit!

Vishnu Tuning/ Speed By Design announce upcoming OFT (Open Flash Tablet) support for the SBD FT86 Turbo Kit!

We are so excited to partner with Vishnu, who has been a staple in the import community for numerous years.

With the sales success of the OFT Tablet, via Shiv's quality tuning, we aim to enhance the already incredible value of the SBD FT86 Turbo Kit.

Today, the development vehicle is being delivered to Vishnu and development work will begin next week.

Special thanks to Neal @EQ Tuning for the quality install on the development FRS.

I can't exactly accurately comment on that, but I would imagine no. I can say that after having UEL headers and switching to this kit, I don't miss the sound too much. The car sounds actually somewhat exotic now with the setup I have and I can't wait to hear it at WOT after its tuned.

No plans, our development from here if focused on our flex fuel offering and potential turbo upgrades for those with built motors.

This looks like a damn good setup!

Just wish SBD didn't modify the crash beam. Not to be a downer...

Only $150 for the Drift Armor Crash Bar and it's compatible with our turbo kit and oil cooler upgrade.

i don't think that bar is going to do much in an accident. Any thoughts of offering a kit with piping that only requires a slight trim to the crash bar?

49 CFR Part 581, "The bumper standard," prescribes performance requirements for passenger cars in low-speed front and rear collisions. It applies to front and rear bumpers on passenger cars to prevent the damage to the car body and safety related equipment at barrier impact speeds of 2½ mph across the full width and 1½ mph on the corners.

This is equivalent to a 5 mph crash into a parked vehicle of the same weight. The standard requires protection in the region 16 to 20 inches above the road surface and the manufacturer can provide the protection by any means it wants. For example, some vehicles do not have a solid bumper across the vehicle, but meet the standard by strategically placed bumper guards and corner guards.
