Group B rally, the good old days!
IMO these cars were as badass as anything ever raced. Basically F1 cars for the dirt. Deemed too fast and the class was killed off.

The problem was more the lack of crowd control than speed of the cars.
The FIA were just lazy and more interested in F1 than rally. The ignored the driver's concerns and then banned the cars when spectators started dying. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk |

In terms of driver skill I still will forever stick to my guns about Group B rally drivers being the best drivers in the history of motor sport
Playing with an 800hp+ monsters...... on dirt, with ZERO margin for error

Things were crazy in just about all forms of racing back then.
While many of the car companies were making the worst cars imaginable, THE most awesome, badass race cars were being raced at the same time.
