weighted shift knob options
I want a heavier shift knob but i really dont want to spend $125+ because it has some company's name laser etched into it, or is made from a super rare meteorite or something else ridiculous. I just want a heavy sphere'ish shift knob that doesnt cost alot. I like the perrin fat and its not expensive but i cant find how much it weighs. Any ideas? Or anyone with a mill want to make me one?

Anarchy Motive. He has groupbuys for 72 shipped. Knob weighs about 1.5lbs. Just expect to wait awhile for it to ship.

I just installed the flossy heavyweight and it's nice but prob doesn't fit the budget your looking for. Question to those who do own one though.. What's everyone been doing about the plastic part that was previously covered by the eom shift knob? Looks like $h*te.

I use a weighted knob because I find that it really smooths out the feel of the shifts. It doesn't feel so notchy and rough especially on our boxes. Also I think it makes it more 'flickable' if that makes any sense. At the moment, I'm using a Modiction Anvil. It weighs in at roughly 475g and lowered the overall height by around 2.5". It's threaded, so it just screws on like stock. I paid $82 shipped brand new for mine , it's a crinkle red one, they also have stainless(with shift pattern engraving if ya want.) I only waited 5 days from the day I placed the order, until the day I received it. Here's the link: http://shop.moddiction.com/Shift-kno...hifters_c2.htm

I'm curious about this too. My guess is that it will make the gear box changes feel better and hit the gates with more confidence, but that's just speculation.
