New FT86 Owner, some questions.

Context:
Just bought a used 2013 White Scion FR-S with 7200 miles on it just over a week ago. This is my first MT car and I really want to baby this car.

I am a huge fan of the AE86, and it was a life goal to get one. However, as many of you know, finding the AE86 is rather difficult and largely requires a substantial amount of work in order to get it reliable after obtaining one. So the FT86, to me, is a dream come true.

I plan to keep this car and not track it at all. It will be a daily driver for commute and spirited driving on the weekends.

Questions:
1) I didn't get this car inspected (may have been a bad idea) due to it having such low mileage and it was the color I wanted and had no spoiler. Is there anything I should keep an eye out for?
2) I feel like the transmission is hard to get into gear and feels clunky at times while driving. I also sometimes hear a loud "thunk" sometimes when shifting while driving. Is this normal? If not, what steps should I take to remedy it?
3) Other than the regular maintenance outlined by the owner's manual, is there anything else I can do in order to keep the car in excellent condition?

Check to make sure that all recalls/tsb's that affect your vin range have been performed...

At the first sign of any cel's get the car to the dealer and the issue documented asap...several 2013's had coil pack/timing/tune issues

The good thing is that it's still under full warranty. Anything you feel seems unusual, just bring in and have them look at it.
