Aftermarket Wheels for Daily Driving

Hey everyone,

I am looking at options for aftermarket wheels. I've been searching for hours online trying to find information on the strength of the OEM rims... with no luck, all the information i've gathered using my google-fu is that they are alloy.... no information could be found on how they are made.

I am looking for some wheels for daily driving with strength at par or alittle better than the stock oem rims.

Knowing how these OEM rims were made would make it easier to choose what kind of rims are better than OEM.

I was vague with my answer but it's in reality the truth: your question is way too open-ended and a lot of the answers you seek will be best answered by sites like Tire Rack, who have compiled the normal "consumer" questions.

Ask 10 people, they'll usually tell you VIA/JAWA certifications. In reality, those don't mean a whole lot other than them being manufacturing standards and nothing else.

OEM wheels are built for a different market and often meet ALL standards worldwide, which usually just follows the strictest standard (usually TUV).

I understand it's open ended. But this information is helpful none the less.

There's a lot of factors at play, and it's good to know what you're dealing with first before proceeding.
