no cel after catless header install
ok I just recently installed an OFH about 2 weeks ago, drive it every day with prolly a little over 100 miles yet no cel? I haven't tuned it either, will be getting on oft soon anyways.
just wondering why my car hasn't put out the CEL, thought it was going to happen since everyone seems to get it right after header install Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Maybe you are just lucky?
In fact, CEL usually pops-up after some prolonged drive with stable speed and RPMs - like 20-30 km motorway ride. If you do just town rides with stop-and-go traffic it might not appear at all. But, as rightly said above, it's case-by-case and depends whether you are lucky or not

ok thanks, trying to figure out if I have a leak as well.
idle it's quiet, but under acceleration it sounds like its breathing/ blowing air. not sure if that's normal or what not Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Get under your car and feel for exhaust leak...better if you had access to a lift.

I am thinking its normal from the noise generator as I have the same noise with mine but I have no leaks. Also the blowing sound is only heard in the cabin, but not on the outside. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

so it's normal? well I'll check tomorrow first thing in the morning for leaks anyways. never had that sound before the header was put in, how would that be able to affect the noise generator in the cabin? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think so, but others can with the header can also verify. There is a hole in the cabin where the noises come from; I am planning on plugging that up to see if it helps with that. Also, I recently realize the noise is there with stock, just that it's very very faint, you can barely hear it.

It will eventually throw a CEL, but the amount of miles may vary when it does. It all depends on when the rear O2 starts reading the same flow pattern as the primary O2 then you will see the light come on and the engine will run in a closed loop mode real rich. It normally happens when you are cruising at the same speed down the highway for a good period of time rather than WOT or just simply shifting gears.

Slightly OT but do you guys think a front pipe with a 200 cell cat or even a catless FP would throw a CEL without a tune?
