Need some help... Brake Rotors
Hey everyone - I am looking for some suggestions on any performance brake rotors in the OEM size that will work with the stock/oem brake caliber.
Car is a 2013 BRZ that is tracked. We already put some performance pads on it, but pretty sure we warped one of the rotors this past weekend at the track. We know we will do a whole big brake kit one day, but we are not there yet. Any ideas/comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

@CSG Mike and everybody else will say to use Centric blanks...that's your most cost effective solution. Your issues won't be solved with a rotor, they'll be solved with better technique and better equipment with more thermal capacity.
What pads and what kind of course(s)? Wonder if you glazed the pads - a possibility if they weren't up to the heat you put through them. |

Brake pads are Ferodo, I believe the DS2500. Track was Pocono North course, 5 turns, 4 of which are hard braking. My brother was driving the car (he has 50-60 DE days under his belt). I have previously used the BRZ (with the same pads) at Thunderbolt this past March with no issues at all.

I'd look into using the same compound front and rear. Carbotech XP12, Project Mu Club Racer, PMU 999, Winmax W6, etc. should be used for your application. Just use standard blank rotors for your application. |
