I'm crying! need help..

sup guys, i got my brz mere 3 days ago and decided to go to a car meet and drive. we encountered some gravels on the road and the porsche boxster in front of me started kicking them up... i got a chipped wind shield and a bad chip on the paint... I'll definitely be getting Clear Bra soon, but mean while is there anyway to fix this? will it be expensive?

thanks for the help!
These are the most obvious ones. of course the whole front bumper gotta get detailed and filled. (im a newbie so if i'm using terms wrong, feel free to correct me) Aside from Clear Bra what other solution are there? what is opti-coat?

Here's a good link on a DIY don't know what it'd cost at a shop depends on how they go about doing it.

Ouch... Sucks to see on a brand new car. Not much you can do other than touch up or repaint, Clear Bra would be the only solution to prevent chipping.

Dr. Colorchip gets really good reviews though I have never used it.
Opti-Coat is a permanent paint coating that will help protect your paint from light scratches and swirls and you won't ever have to wax again. It won't prevent chips though.
Paint protection film (clear bra) is your best bet for preventing chips on the front clip and a coating on the rest of the car to keep it looking good.

Ouch...that's deep. You'll need touch up paint for sure. I have Dr colorchip and it works real well. Its gonna be tough to fill the edges but not impossible. The YouTube vid is awesome as well. I learned a lot from that guy! Good luck!

It got you good. Just use the touch up route to prevent rust. Repaint hood in a few years once it takes more of a onslaught. That same shit happened to me when I got my tC brande new in 05. Dump truck was slinging rocks all over the interstate.

Curious, OP was the guy in front of you peeling out in the gravel? Are all the little white specks around it chips as well? Those could be fixed by Dr Colorchip or Langka repair kit.

sorry for my noobness. what does it mean when you say "peeling out in gravel". we were going about 70-80 in the mountain roads, there are some gravels on the tarmac. I was about 7-8 cars away from him and still got blasted.

Like doing a burnout in front of you, stepping on the gas and dumping the clutch. That would've been a **** move, but apparently that wasn't the case.

I see. thank you for explaining. I was talking to a shop and they are willing to touch everything up for $125 seem like a legit business, not a shady garage. im actually even willing to put down a bit more if he can make everything look good again. specially before i put clearbra on the car. Do you guys think its worth it?

also, how do i thank someone on the forum?

You can pay the shop $125.00 for the repair or purchase the Dr.Color Chip for under $60.00 and have enough product for repairs for the next couple of years. Your call. The thanks button is in the lower right hand side of each post.
