Need help
Hey guys so I have decided to pull the trigger and get the KW V3 coilovers. I will be ordering them next week. As far as the install goes I want to get everything done all at once.
So the question is what else do I need to get when I get the coilovers. I see alot of people talking about bushings, lower control arms & many other things and after reading all over the forum about this still can't really decide what I need or if I even have to do anything else when I get coilovers installed. |

According to my very brief google search, KW V3s don't come with camber plates built in, so you'll need some way to correct camber on the front. Camber bolts work, but depending on your desired drop they may not be enough. So, camber plates. $$$.
And you need a way to adjust/correct camber on the rear as well. The best way is to correct it at the upper control arm, but that's awkward as hell to get to and barring a semi-custom UCA build (I think RacerX makes some? $$$$) all that's available are Whiteline camber bushings. So, lower control arms. These range from ~$200 to ~$600+. The nice ones are billet aluminum, but they're pricey. Adjusting camber via the LCA will mess up your toe, so you need toe arms too. That's another $1-400. So, front top hats/camber plates, rear LCAs, rear toe arms. The rear stuff is visible from the back of the car, Whiteline's and Cusco's stuff is pretty. Also consider shortened swaybar end links if you're doing a significant drop. |

It really depends what you're doing with your car.
How much do you want to lower your car? if its up to 1.25" you can correct your camber without camber plates. that is ofc you want to set your camber settings to stock. a good shop can fit your suspension kit and set it up for you without any furter parts - but again that is only if you let them set aligment and camber to factory settings (which you should for a daily/grip setup) any slammed/hellaflush/show setup is adifferent thing however.

Wut, unless you're running some stupid camber in the rear the OEM toe adjustment via the toe arms should suffice fine.
