OMG, the supercharger and Hoosiers R6, what a difference!

Finally I have been able to take my car again to the track in decent weather. This winter I added a supercharger, cooling ducts, rotors, and a new set of slicks (hoosiers r6's).

OMG, this car is freaking fast; I had a blast this past weekend at the NASA HDPE event at Summit Point. I was giving a heck of a time to cars with 50+ more horsepower than this BRZ. I did 18 sessions over the weekend, and the car handled wonderfully. Did I mention it was fast. I ran through a set of Carbotech XP10's brake pads, and I was impressed they held on for that long.

I am so happy I went with the innovate supercharger. It gives the necessary torque gains to get out of slow corners like a bullet, and the fast turns, it is such a joy.

For anyone that is considering supercharging the car for the track; it is as if you bought yourself another car altogether. 350HP+ cars, come on down, we can play now!

I was consistently hitting 1:28's, 1:29's and my best lap was 1:27; with traffic even it was 1:30. Not sure how fast that is for the Summit Point main circuit, but for me it was way faster; before the best I was hitting was 1:30.

Good times! I hope the traffic wasn't too intense - T4-9 can seem to take forever when you have a line of slower cars in front of you.

I use the TT results for comparison since those drivers are going for the fastest single lap of the day that they can run. Sunday's results are here: http://timingscoring.drivenasa.com/N...nalTTMerge.pdf

It's just a guess, but I think your car would probably be in TTC, or possibly TTB, which is the next higher/faster class. TT3 is the next faster class after TTB, and that's where it starts to get fast; those cars are very well-prepared, if not full-on race cars.

What I liked about the HDPE 3 with NASA is that you can pass anywhere with a point by. And the drivers in that group were really cool about it; they would see you come and point you by _anywhere_; sometimes down the chute, in the esses, it was a blast. That is why the times are what they were. I also did the HDPE 2 (combo) and there, I got stuck every so often in a train; but no complaints, it was one of the most fun weekends in the track.

S2ks with bolt-ons, wing, & Hoosiers run 21s. Supercharged twins should definitely be faster than an NA s2k. Sounds like a fun car.

Best I did that same weekend was a 1:27.5 in my car, which is NA and I was on Dunlop ZII's.

I actually had a 1:26 going on one lap and then blew it in the last corner:

I'll be back there again for Hyperfest in June and will be time trialing and on Hoosier R6's, so I'm hoping to be down into the 1:24's.
