I tend to write to much so I will try to keep this short. Been over a year with my all stock FRS. My old Integra could hit 75+ on a specific turn where as now with FRS I'm breaking loose at 55ish. Its about time I upgrade the tires (been sideways a few to many times and the rubber is about out :burn rubber: ) and might as well get into suspension and any other mods to have a handling beast. I love everything about the FRS minus tires and ride heigh. I would like to autox once a month or so. maybe more if I can. I have been doing research for a few weeks and I think I have decided on KWv3. Does any one have an opinion on them for autox? Even in my DDing I like turns and gassing it around (when safe) so id take handling over comfort anyday. The stock FRS suspension is pretty smooth compared to my last two cars so if you have a better set of coils in mind that are stiffer I'm down. Also I'm curious the KWv3 is suppose to be softer, does that cause understeer? Also How does maintenance work? Iv googled quite a bit for them and even checked the website but I don't see anything on maintenance.
For now looking to drop about an inch on stock rims and tires until I can decide on wheels. I do like the rota grids, but idk something tells me not to....

TLDR

$2000 range coilover maintenance?

What kind and what size tires do you plan on going with?

How serious about auto-x are you? Just for fun locally or will you be going for a national championship?

For KW maintenance, you don't have much to worry about because they have a pretty darn good finish. Keep em clean and enjoy.

KW V3's are a great coilover...a little soft but very good for a DD and autox mix.

You may want to consider adjustable rear lower control arms to dial in camber perfectly. For the front you could keep your stock top mounts and adjust camber with the KW lower mount. Add camber plates if you really want a bunch of camber but you'll do well locally without them.

Adding a few bushings here and there is helpful too if you can fit it into the budget.

We do have our own RCE Tarmac 2 Clubsport coilovers, built by KW to our specs. They're based on KW Clubsports and are a step firmer than KW V3. Same warranty as KW V3 through KW. Both are great, the RCE T2 clubsports are just a little more of a serious coilover, but still very much streetable.

I would like to get 18s, and thats as far as I have gotten. I don't have much practical experience with tire widths and such so I don't quite know where to start. still looking into that area. any suggestions?

are the bolts even necessary with either the KWv3 or RCE T2?

20 mph difference in the same turn? Seems to me your Integra could defy laws of physics.

Example:

Assume a 200 ft radius for the turn, the Integra was pulling an improbable 1.88g, the FRS is doing a lowly 1.02g.

We can give realistic suggestions when we are presented with realistic expectations. Honestly, for a DD and a little autocross? All stock is pretty damn good, but in the end, I think you should have kept your Integra - it was magic.

Well your fancy math didnt include width of tires, grip, length of turn, or even how many degrees the turn is. If you want to be some sort of smart ass Im sure my grammar or punctuation could be corrected.
On this specific turn as I mentioned the stock tires on the FRS couldn't hold, traction breaks and around 55 I'm stuck with my back end sliding out, where as in my Integra I had very grippy tires and around 75 is where the front end would start losing grip. I hope my uneducated math free explanation helps.

autox on your stock suspension for at least a year then switch over, but I'd recommend driving someone elses car first if possible. Suspension is easy to screw up no matter what you buy and the stock system is great! No I don't have stock anymore but liked it. I now have Koni Yellow shocks and RCE Yellow springs and they are amazing. Much more comfortable than any coilover or sportline/prokit spring and also better on the track.

The stock suspension on this car is very good relative to typical stock suspension, it's easier to make things worse than better.

That said, I really like my kwv3.

The roads suck around here and they are the best riding aftermarket suspension I've used to this point (I'm on stock strut mounts).

When one day it stops being cold and or wet every weekend event I'll even have 2 knobs I'm ignorant of the workings of to play around with.
