New Owner and Rear Speakers not playing?!

Hey all!

I'm a new owner of a graphite limited 2014 subaru BRZ

So far I've blacked out the inside of the headlights, yellowed the fogs and did some led mods around. Looks beaitiful, goin for class!

However! After my dudes at F n A Auto did the FANTASTIC work, my rear speakers aren't playing, and I noticed this when the GPS gave me navigation, it didn't "send the music to the rear speakers" like it normally does, just dimmed the music a ton. It sounds weird without the back speakers, too frontal.

My dudes said the way the wiring is it's nothing they could have touched.

Anyone have any ideas? I went through all the settings too, has nothing to do with the R1,2,3, etc stereo field settings either.

Try goin to autoimage over in freehold... They are a little pricey but they are good and reliable

Outside of something not working properly, not having rear speakers isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's a common thing for audio gurus and audiophiles to only utilize a "front stage" for better imaging. The rear speakers make the sound appear more full, but it can actually cause more listener fatigue because the music isn't coming from a clear and defined source with it's natural reflections within the listening environment. There's a lot more to tuning a front stage correctly which the OEM system isn't capable of, but I just thought I'd throw it out there.

Mine came the same way with the rear speakers off. You have to fiddle with the horrible head unit. Once I found it, I only put the rear ones on slightly because it sounds better..... minus the rattle at high volumes. Really want to replace it with a unit that has physical buttons.

Checkout this thread - http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15696

Move the sound back to the back speakers and it should kick back in. I also turn the volume on the navigation way way down.
