Random FRS/BRZ Video About Tires

So I was reading this article about performance tires. Not much there or worth reading, but then I noticed this video... and a BRZ doing some wet road testing... not a bad vid

there is only 2 tire brands I use Michelin and Yokohamas everything just doesnt seem to cut it for me ironically the FR-S comes with Michelin tires even though their also aka Prius tires still not too bad for stock tires grips decent enough if you dont push it

Not sure that I understand the comment on changing gearing; however, a loss of responsiveness should depend on the weight increase of the larger tire/rim combo, which the reviewers unfortunately don't mention. Just to say that a larger rim causes a loss of acceleration is pretty hard to swallow. The stock wheels/rims are not particularly lightweight, and larger rims are certainly available at much lighter weights than stock.

Maybe the gearing comment really reflects the increased grip and frictional resistance that the engine must overcome to accelerate?
